Can I have more than one Share Certificate?
Yes, you can own more than one Share Certificate at a time.
Is there a penalty for early withdrawal?
Yes, there is a penalty for withdrawing funds from your Share Certificate before its maturity date. For information regarding how early withdrawal penalties are calculated, or exceptions to early withdrawal penalties, please refer to your signed Share Certificate or contact the Credit Union.
What happens when my Share Certificate matures?
Your Share Certificate is either single term or automatically renewable as stated in the “ACCOUNT INFORMATION” section of your signed Share Certificate. You have a grace period after maturity in which to withdraw funds without being charged an early withdrawal penalty.
Do I need to visit a branch to open a Share Certificate?
No. To open a Share Certificate, you can do so in-branch, over the phone, or speak to a representative via video chat within your Online/Mobile Banking during business hours.
